"To say thank you just isn't enough"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I have been an in patient in Oakley and Nelson ward and to say thank you just isn't enough after the T. L. C. given to me during my stay. The nursing staff always cheerful and keen to make sure you understood treatment given and why it was given, the ladies doing the cleaning as doctors walked over wet floors oblivious to what was going on around them, now catering taking in the amount of different nationalities and religion s not once did I get a menu I could not choose something to eat and seen the trouble the staff went to to find an alternative choice if you didn't want what was on offer it may not be 5star hotel or what you have at home but they do the best job they can.

I would like to mention one nursing sister in Nelson ward Beatriz, boy does she love her job far beyond dedication dealing with my problem bloods to the extent she would not go off duty till she was satisfied with the results making her 45minutes late, I hope no one every bemoans Maritime hospital to me they will l get short shrift.

One thing that could be improved is the pharmacy wait, I had to return for my medication.

Thank you for allowing me to tell my story.

Thank you very much for sharing your positive comments with us. It is lovely to hear that your experience was a positive one.

Your comments about the delay in waiting for medication on discharge have been noted and this is an area that we hope to make improvements on in the near future.

Kindest regards,

The Patient Experience Team
