"84 y.o. collapsed in a chair at home"

About: Southport & Formby District General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

80 y. o. wife comes in from the garden to find husband unconscious. in his chair. 999 call, paramedic arrives after 5 mins. Manages to resuscitate, and calls ambulance, which arrives promptly. Pair taken to Southport A & E, and seen at once. Labelled, checked and awaiting doctor. Thorough examination, and sent for scan. All checks inconclusive. Recommended referal to Neurologist. Very well cared for in five hour stay. Well done to all the staff members and ambulance, paramedic crew who were great. The food and tea brought round was most welcome!
