A long journey. Still ongoing.started June 2016 with 1st appointment . What a lovely reassuring person..my original replacement elbow has worn out and the skin on my elbow broken open...although was told it would be complex don't think I realised the treatment involved..( although everything was fully explained )after further appointments ,time for the op,.apart from removing my useless elbow I needed a skin graft..another great consultant..they worked together and despite one or two problems with infections ( no fault of the hospital ) I am ready for the final bit...my new elbow,..during the stays in hospital
I expe rienced recuperating on different wards ,due to the ongoing bed shortage can only say, all the staff were really great.,received good nursing from everyone I came in contact with. along with decent meals...nothing seemed to be too much trouble..though no-one wants to be in hospital the great treatment goes a long way to making a.one reassured..so..a big thank you to sheffield northern general..let's hope the end of my treatment won't be too long
