"Month of Birth Recall System"

About: Wallingbrook Health Centre

The practice spend time and money on sending out an invitation for a "Month of Birth Recall System" when you phone to make an appointment presumably to see a Doctor about ongoing problems, possible changes or new problems you're offered a telephone call from the pharmacist to discuss your medication, when I did this I explained that as due to the new restrictions I have to collect my medication once a month and it would make sense for me to talk in person to the pharmacist but was told she is not in the pharmacy but "up stairs" and therefore unable to see people, I explained that as I have full use of my legs I would be happy to pop up stairs at a given convenient time to talk in person but was told this is not possible.

I eventually settled for a phone call from my own doctor in three weeks time ( I realise they are very busy and also very good but as far as I am aware they still like to see a person to diagnose an ailment )

The whole Month of Birth Recall System is a complete farce and waste of time nothing but a box ticking exercise to make the states look good it seems there are more administrative staff at Wallingbrook than proper health trained staff, every time a phone call is made to make an appointment you are told how over busy they are and yet the waiting room is like the Mary Celeste when you do get an appointment . Needs a shake up to provide service for users rather than staff
