"I am happy to be on a Structured Recovery Programme this time"

About: One Recovery Bucks

(as a service user),

Approximately 15 years ago I started drinking on evenings out. It progressively got more during the week. I started a relationship with a drinker. Drinking increased more and more. After several years our relationship became slightly sour. They would always buy me wine for when I got home. It got to a point that I would wait down my road in my car and when I thought they was asleep I would go back. I was drinking In my car whilst waiting. By this time I believed I was dependant on alcohol. I went to smart in aylesbury the high Wycombe. My partner locked me out of house. they made me homeless. My drinking got worse and worse. I eventually got to move to high Wycombe then a week later I started SRP. I have done this twice already but I guess the last 2 times I believe I was not ready as I relapsed a few times. I am happy to be on a Structured Recovery Programme this time. And Robin has be a great help. He has made me realise this is what I need to do.

Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time out to give your feedback.

It's great to hear that you are accessing the group and remember addiction can be hard to break (think back to the cycle of change), it doesn't happen for most people the first time they try to stop or make changes. Keep accessing and working on your recovery goals so you can achieve your own recovery.

All the best

Tracy
