"On the right track with the help of my care worker"

About: One Recovery Bucks

(as the patient),

I was 30 when I got involved in taking Sleeping tablets to shut out the world and sleep through the day, through boredom or distress or any difficult emotion. At one point I was taking up to 25 tablets a day.

My interaction with STARS helped me realise my problem and how I could go about dealing with it. They were helpful and explained how I could reduce the amount in setting goals.

The groups I attended helped me realise I was not alone and other people were also struggling with similar issues and feelings

I have now got on the right track with the help of my care worker and things are looking up.

Thank you for taking time to give us your feedback. Its great for me as service manager to hear you are finding STARs interventions helpful. It is good to hear also you have discussed how to safely reduce your intake and that you are finding groups helpful.

Isolation and feeling like you are the only one experiencing issues is a common concern and barrier to treatment, so its great to see you are working hard in group and using this as a support network.

Keep attending and working on your recovery goals.

All the best

Tracy
