"I don't see the point in returning"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Accident and emergency NHS 111

(as the patient),

I rung 111 as I had several abdominal pain and suffering with endometriosis, adhesions and blocked tubes.

111 said I had to be seen withing 2 hours but couldn't give me an appointment in Grantham. I told them I could not get to Stamford and they said they would get UHL to ring me and try to sort something.

They rung and said they couldn't do anything within the 2 hour frame and would not send anyone to me as I am usually well. I managed to get myself to Grantham A&E who took my observations and put me in a bed in a room with a heater in a metal cage!

A nurse came to cannulate me and failed  resulting in a large very sore bruise. Someone else came and tried straight away got it in. They gave me oramorph and IV paracetamol and the doctor came to see me.

He said that I had a swollen stomach and they needed to figure out if it was fluid or not so he was going to get a surgeon for a second opinion. He then came back and said he rung a surgeon in Lincoln who said it was fine even though he hadn't seen me.

They then got someone to actually come and look at me a surgeon who found it acceptable to laugh, make me feel like I was a liar saying I hadn't had a diagnosis of endometriosis adhesions and blocked tubes at Nottingham city hospital in April because he couldn't find it on my notes.

He told me to go home gave me no advice and walked off.

I am still in the same pain struggling to night and feeling very unwell but don't see the point in returning. I feel like they are to busy trying to rush people out the door at closing rather than helping sick people.

I am disgusted in the care I received and whilst struggling with depression and anxiety they had no concern for this.
