I'm a 24 year old male who has always suffered from anxiety and depression. I heard about Inclusion Matters from a colleague at work who has a friend who has used their services before. I called up on the advice of my doctor and spoke to a kind lady who explained what the service was about and took my details.
I was called back for my telephone screening and I was given a few options. I went for the CBT because I believed that I'd benefit from being able to chat in a friendly environment and that this would be a lot more tailored to my needs.
I had six appointments with Patricia (Trish) who discussed my issues with me and helped me identify the behaviours that led to my anxious thoughts as well as traps of negative thinking that I often fall into. She gave me a lot of great advice about how to tackle these thoughts and nip them in the bud before I overthink them and they take over my time. I learned a lot of strategies that can be used to defer my worries so that I can regain focus of what I'm currently doing. Trish was wonderful and it was great to be able to speak to someone with a wealth of experience who has made me feel a lot more confident in the face of my issues. I feel that with Trish's amazing support I feel confident to deal with the current period of uncertainty in my life.
