I have been a patient at Maywood Health Centre for some ten years and during this time, have seen many doctors, for various health problems, the majority of which have acted in a professional manner.
During 2008 I underwent major surgery and had a total hysterectomy.
Then, It was only a year later, when I was diagnosed with a rare type of anal cancer which had quickly spread to stage four.
It was during this traumatic period that a particular doctor helped by giving professional advice and they liaised efficiently with the Senior Colorectal consultant, at St. Richards Hospital in Chichester.
I believe it was their support and professionalism that helped save my life.
I was a demanding patient and was extremely frightened, added to which there were personal factors which evolved, of a personal nature, which I also had to face.
This doctor has supported me for some six years, and last month I was signed off from the hospital.
I personally believe that Maywood, employs many professional doctors' obviously for the reasons aforementioned, this doctor is 'exceptional' and I feel privileged to be one of their patients!
