What I liked

Some of the nursing staff were absolutely lovely. Made me feel cared for, reassured me, smiled! Consultant was brilliant. Courteous and informative after the op.

What could be improved

The night shift nursing staff... Some of them were pretty scary. I know it's a tough job, but it felt like we patients were in the way. They seem very pressured. I understand that. But if they had time for just a little bit of TLC and humanity it'd have been great. One patient was complaining about something or other at the top of her voice, stomping about... It was mayhem for a good half hour. I was glad of the morphine to be honest!! The ward felt like nobody was in charge, like no one had any over all authority to keep things in check.

Don't like to complain. I'm very grateful that the NHS saved my life. Thanks!
