"Not a great experience"

Not the most modern hospital but the staff are all very friendly. Booked in for a fairly standard procedure but came back and informed the Surgeon i really wasn't feeling 100% after 3-4 days. This was brushed over as normal and then ended up in St Thomas' A&E a few days later with a serous infection from the procedure. Spent the next week in hospital in a quite serious state and had to take almost 2 weeks off unexpectedly which has been a real hit personally and professionally.

Naturally this may just be one of those things and there is always a risk but I wasn't told about this and my concerns were dismissed at the follow up which turned out to be more than relevant. It also doesn't feel like the original procedure was a success so all a rather painful and disappointing experience!
