"Caring and competent staff"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Following my visit to A&E I was admitted onto a ward with a fractured hip. A&E were so very busy but continually kept me updated as to what was my next "move" in the queue.

"Professional and caring" continued throughout my stay. I cannot thank Chesterfield Royal Hospital staff enough for involving me in decisions to be made regarding my pending operation. Their care was amazing. I have heard of others complaining about hospital food in general but CRH provide a wonderful menu. So very grateful to everyone involved with my rehabilitation in getting me "back on my feet". A massive thank you to everyone at this 4* Hotel!!!! You are worth your weight in gold.

I was so pleased to read your description of our hospital as a 4* Hotel – it’s not something we hear too often! A fractured hip is a really traumatic injury to go through – so your comments about your care at each stage of your recovery are a delight to read and I am sure our staff teams will be equally delighted to see your feedback.

I will make sure I share your thoughts with them.
