"Caring, compassionate and reassuring when trying to allay my fears over eye surgery"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Had a Sunday appointment to see consultant as currently no consultant QEQM. Referred to have cataract surgery. Tuesday received letter for pre-operative assessment on Friday and had surgery on Sunday. Eight days from consultant to surgery. Now I bet that does not make the headlines. 48 hours after surgery I can see better than I have been able for a few years. An enormous heartfelt thank you to all the team from HCA's, to Nurses and consultants. You were caring, compassionate and reassuring when trying to allay my fears over eye surgery. Thank goodness for our wonderful NHS.
