"Recent visit re very painful ear prob"

About: Integrated Care 24

Went to out of hours doctor re painful ear.

Much longer journey as now based in princess royal hospital.

Used to be 5 mins away !

Not good when in pain ! Given antibiotics but still in extreme pain 24 hours later & feeling very unwell - had a stroke about 5 weeks ago.

So hubby took me to a&e to see if they could help.

A long wait but checked out really well and recommended that should have been given ear drops as well as antibiotics by out of hours doctor.

Was made an appointment at out of hours doc again as pharmacy at hospital was closed..

Not happy with treatment at out of hours doctors.

!

Doc was quite rude !

Said I did not need drops and that if hospital wanted me to take them then why didn't they give them to me!

Just sat there and stared ahead !

I again explained what hospital had said and they eventually wrote out a prescription for drops and handed to me without a word.

I was feeling very unwell and in extreme pain - this doctor was very rude and uncaring - what a horrible experience. What is happening to our GP service
