Today 21st February 2017, we visited the Clinical Gerontology Unit, Alexandra Wing, Broadgreen Hosptial without an appointment because an elderly relative and neighbour was extremely distressed and fearful about his Parkinson's symptoms and he and his wifewere at the end of their tether. For three hours, staff on this Unit cared for him, calmed him down, provided detailed advice and ensured we left knowing that there were nurses and support staff who cared about him and wanted to help. Everyone we met on this Unit was so so kind to us and we are very grateful. Wonderful staff who know the true meaning of the word 'vocation'.
