I was an emergency admission to ward 65 at the QEUH in December 2016 after a subarachnoid haemorrhage. The nursing and auxiliary staff treated me with great care and dignity during my 8 night stay. I was in over the Christmas period and the care from staff with young families having to work did not falter at any point. I met many staff members and could not say one bad thing about any of them. The care was consistent, attentive and to the highest standard. I shed many a tear and always had someone there to support me and give me a much needed hug. I am a health professional myself and they really made me reflect on my own practice and whether it could match up! I will remember some of the nurses for life and will never forget their care and attention. They were all aware that I had a young family and were flexible with visiting times etc. Please make ward 65 aware of the amazing care that they provide.
"Excellent care from nursing staff"
