"I knew it was the correct place and person to help me."

About: Ealing IAPT

(as the patient),

I was referred to Ealing IAPT by my GP after suffering from depression and anxiety which I felt was related to experiences in my childhood. I was quite nervous about starting the process but even after the first session with Piero I knew it was the correct place and person to help me.

During the sessions I felt that Piero understood the way I was feeling and gave me the confidence to start working things out.

I really hope that other people who are referred to Ealing IAPT have such a positive experience and outcome as I have had.

Many thanks for writing to Patient Opinion and your positive feedback on the service you received from Piero. It's great to hear back from our clients and I know he will be delighted that he was able to assist you.

I know a lot of people find the first session a bit anxiety provoking, as you mention, but also are frequently surprised how quickly it is possible to establish a good working relationship once the goals of treatment are established collaboratively with the right person.

We are really pleased to hear that you found the intervention with Piero helpful, understanding and facilitated the process of you "working things out". I know he will be too and will ensure that he sees your message.
