"Probably, I'll get another of those scripted customer care apologies"

My previous concern was about diabetic care in mental health in terms of integrating both physical and mental health care. Despite an apology, nothing came of it.

I again face not dissimilar experience by west London mental health trust. My relative was discharged last week with little information on her discharge plan.

No community services were present. I had to insist at the discharge planning meeting to at least have the home treatment team present to ensure and assure that her medication supervision would be followed up.

From my view, the medical staff present seemed unaware and unconcerned of this. No documentation in the form of a discharge careplan was given to my relative or myself as the Carer.

Everything that was agreed was done in a cavalier basis. As it turned out, three days later, I found out that my relative was getting inconsistent messages by the home treatment team on her medication supervision at home.

She became extremely anxious whereupon I had to speak to one members of the HHT and again to find out that they had no clear careplan for her.

Abysmal, amateurish and chaotic are in my opinion just an understatement of their reactions. Probably, I'll get another of those scripted customer care apologies.
