"A great service at a time when I was so poorly"

About: St Andrews Community Hospital

(as the patient),

I became very ill last weekend (12 February 2017), having suffered an allergic reaction to hair dye. I saw the excellent pharmacist at Rowlands, next to Morrison's, in St Andrews. He said he thought a referral to the out of hours service to see a Gp was necessary as he thought I'd developed a secondary infection.

My details were taken and within an hour, I had an appointment and was seen by an excellent Gp. I had a very high pulse and temperature: I was prescribed two different antibiotics and a cream and lotion for my face and scalp.

Nearly a week later, my fave and head have returned to normal, and it is such a relief to feel well again. A great service at a time when I was so poorly, I just wanted to disappear! Thank you.

Dear Kate273

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience, which sounds awful, I am gald you are now feeling well again.

I was delighted to hear that all your contacts with Health Care professionals were positive and I will gladly share your feedback with the Pharmacy Team and the Out of Hours team. Receiving positive feedback goes a long way in motivating staff, so thanks for taking the time to get in touch.

Regards

Louise
