I went to collect my sister from this minor injury unit today.Unfortunately we live out of area and she required hospital A&E investigation.Rather than be transferred to Stoke the excellent nurse practitioner arranged X-ray films to be sent to our local A&E.
When large main teaching A&E hospitals are under massive pressures, the out of hours and minor injuries are so valuable.
The staff here were so friendly and professional-extremely precious service which should be emulated and evidenced in patient experience- regardless of budgets!!!
