"Urology Department/Radiology Department"

My mum was referred to the haematuria Clinic at Sunderland Royal under the 2 week rule.

She already suffers from health anxiety, so I wasn't looking forward to the multiple trips and investigations and her continual worry that something was wrong.

However, the service was fabulous - all her investigations were arranged for the same day as a one stop and once these were all complete, she saw the consultant who started her on treatment and gave her the results of all tests.

Radiology and ultrasound department and staff were fabulous, patient and caring and even though they were running behind for her next appointment, this was no problem to Urology Centre and they fitted her in when she arrived.

Urology Centre staff were attentive, professional and kind and completely supported and looked after her - thank you.

Her consultant then was patient and kind, explaining the outcome of all of the tests, gave her treatment options and encouraged her to make an informed decision.

I couldn't have asked for a better service and the whole Urology and Radiology teams should be proud of themselves.
