"care in hospital"

About: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust Darlington Memorial Hospital / Accident and emergency North Yorkshire and Humber

(as the patient),

I originally admitted to Darlington Memorial with breathing problems.  The Emergency A&E was fantastic.

The respiratory problem cleared up within 4 days but the wrong drugs were administered which gave high potassium - resin given 4/5 doses which set in intestine

Result 8 days of agony with constipation - finally relieved last friday by a large number of eminas which in turn caused problems.

I also felt like I was thrown about like a bag of potatoes by an agency nurse who I reported.

Moved quickly then to rehab hospital at Barnards Castle before being able to walk.  I was out in side room and felt forgotten about and was left in dirty incontinence pad-- even told not from this area so will be transferred asap to home town.

I was left on the toilet unable to walk back to bed for 90 minutes, there was no response from the alarm cord they knew it did not work.  I felt there was a terrible nursing attitude.

I met with GP who attends on mornings - who agreed should never been sent and was moved back to Darlington

I was seen by consultant on Thursday and moved back to original ward.

Now the staff want the bed and feels like they are starting to want me to move out without being able to walk.
