"The ICU/HDU team are amazing, despite their 13..."

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

Our 34 year old son was admitted after being in respiratory arrest. He was very sick, in fact the admitting doctor said they had not seen anyone sicker survive. He had swine flu and pneumonia. For ten days this amazing team cared for all his bodily functions, working their hardest to keep him alive. And they did.Not only that but they also found the time and compassion to look after us and his young family. Our son is now home after a three day stay on ward 23 and, although it will be a long journey to being as able as he was, he's back on track, thanks to these wonderful professionals. Our NHS is not infallible, but is always there in true emergencies. Thank you for all your kindness and care. We will be forever grateful to you all.

It is very good of you to take the time to give us your feedback after going through such a very worrying time - we really do appreciate all feedback and use it to help us make sure all our patients and their families have the best possible experience of care.

It is good to know that you had confidence in the teams looking after your son and that he is now recovering from this serious illness. We hope he will be back to full health and strength soon.
