"Very bad sonographer left me in pain for hours"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital / Maternity

I had my 12 weeks scan today with the sonographer at the maternity section.

The sonigrapher was very frustrated the fact that my baby was upside down and started shaking my belly so hard and kept poking with the device saying "move on baby"

I had no choice but to keep quiet as I thought this will be over soon but failing to get the measurements they then asked me jump up and back on the bed and started poking me even harder.

I was traumatised and left in tears my belly fixed hurting me so much and was having sharp pains I thought I will never return to that place ever.

Ii would not recommend this place to any one. Surely I had a bad technician but I doubt anything will ever change. There is all these posters up about abusing Nhs. Staff but nothing baout NHS staff abusing patients.

I am very disappointed'

I had a harmoney scan done privately previously and the experience was nothin like this. You felt cared and safe.
