"My Brother"

About: Inclusion

(as a relative),

My brother came to you for help and gave up his flat to get help finding a new place away from the troubles that was causing his problems, but I believe your rules made it so that he was allowed to drink, and I think that led him to having more problems. I think that allowing an alcoholic to drink is no use at all as now he is homeless and has more problems then he started with.

We are really concerned to have received this feedback, we encourage all clients to receive the help that is appropriate to their needs and believe that abstinence is the best way for many to recover. We will work with clients to achieve this goal but drug and alcohol use is a relapsing condition and many clients will go through many episodes of treatment before achieving their ultimate goal. We are concerned if your brother is now homeless and potentially not in contact with treatment services. We are not able to identify which service he contacted from your post or to offer further help or assistance without more information. If you want to contact us direct to discuss your concerns and to see what further support or help we can offer please contact us via the website at http://www.inclusion.org/
