What I liked

All staff from reception to surgeon seemed really concerned to make my one-night stay as comfortable and safe as possible. They were all most courteous and pleasant without being condescending. For example, they immediately found someone to do a blood test when I dropped in without an appointment.

Most important - I didn't need painkillers after a bilateral hernia repair!

(I paid to have the procedure done privately and so avoid a wait for NHS treatment)

What could be improved

The staff had to do a lot of duplicate paperwork, even duplicating data by hand that was already on their computer system. It didn't affect me, but they found it frustrating.

At busy times, even they could do with a bit more space in the comfortable reception/waiting area, and maybe even more car parking. Still much better than our local NHS hospitals, though!
