"Postage of patient's letters"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

On 5th January I saw a Consultant as an outpatient in the Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery dept.

They wrote a letter to my GP which was typed on 9th and presumably put into your postal system.

My copy was delivered with my normal post today.

It arrived today, one month later.

It was sent through a system called WHISTL, and shows a return address as TW15 3AA.

I know you want to save money, but had this letter been calling me for an appointment, say, later in January, you would have me down as a 'NO SHOW', which would actually COST you, and me money.

I therefore wish to complain about this and think you should look into it

Dear James

Sorry the letter took so long to arrive and we would like to investigate what caused the delay. Could you please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01932 723553 so we can obtain some further details. Many thanks.
