(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP for an outpatient upper GI endoscopy. I was quite anxious about the procedures. My appointment came through very quickly with detailed information about what was going to happen. On the day I arrived at the day unit to be met by Elaine the receptionist who was polite and lovely. A small wait as a number of people were being admitted at the same time but nonetheless a very efficient process. I opted for local anaesthetic throats spray and the skilled endoscopic and his nursing team had my procedure done in a flash. A short 30 minute wait afterwards and I was discharged with the results. I can only say a big thank you to everyone the endoscopy unit.

It is understandable that you were anxious initially, lots of people would, including me.

I am so glad this was quick, efficient, friendly and supportive, it sounds perfect. I know I say this often but not only is it great for the staff to hear good feedback, but I also think that other readers benefit from posts such as yours, particularly if they are waiting for this type of investigation too.
