What could be improved

Why is there an on-line service to book an appointment which does not take bookings? I am a teacher, I am in school 8am to about 5 pm, I don't have a mobile and I can't use the school phone easily for personal calls. We are not allowed out at lunchtimes as this would reduce the staff-to-children ratio. Not very impressed with the service so far as I can't book! I might have time next Friday to use the phone at school but I'll have to declare what it is for and talk in the office with other people about. Not very confidential. Please get the website sorted!

Thank you for your feedback regarding accessing online bookings for Outpatient Consultant clinics at Ilkeston Community Hospital. Unfortunately at this present time we can only receive bookings direct from patients by a telephone call. This is due to technical enablement of our Patient Administration System and Choose and Book working together.

At this present time we are technically testing the two systems working together. This will then enable all patients to access online bookings and the use of the National Telephone appointments line which is open 7 days a week 7am - 10pm. This is due to Go Live in mid January 2008 through to February 2008.

We apologise the inconvience that this has caused yourself and hope that you see that we are improving access to the services that we have at the Community Hospitals.
