Had a problem with bed sores a few years ago. My husband had to ask staff to turn me. They came to turn me inducing a lot of pain and left. My husband had to ask them to go back and treat my sores.
Seems they still haven't learned. My husband used to be on shared governance at the hospital and tried getting them to adopt integrated care pathways where a section of the notes recorded how often immobile patients were turned. This was never taken up.
