"Special thanks to Claire on Maternity ward 24"

About: Victoria Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had to have an emergency c section and the staff in The labour ward and theatre were amazing but my special thanks goes to all the women on ward 24 maternity unit for helping me with my newborn and recovery.

Special thanks to Claire for all her help with helping me to breastfeed correctly and making sure I managed to get rest. Even though there was nothing she could do for my daughter because I was breastfeeding, she still took the time to look after and take her out the room so I could settle.

She was absolutely amazing!

Dear Yummymumma

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter and thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience in the labour ward and theatre. I am sorry it took me some time to get back to you, I wanted to check the ward area you mentioned as we don't have a ward 24. I have however passed your comments on to the labour ward and asked them to make sure Claire is given your feedback. This will re enforce her good practice in supporting mums following birth.
