"My daughter having a piece of wax ear plug stuck in her ear."

About: St John's Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as a parent/guardian),

2 weeks ago my daughter went to take it out it broke and was stuck, she went to A&E they didn't have anyone on duty qualified to do this nor at ENT sent her home gave app for two weeks later. She in between phoned ENT to say she was in agony could they do something? Who ever she spoke too? A doctor who seemed quite unconcerned saying they can't just admit someone with something stuck in ear. My daughter has since been back in and they can't get it out its in too far now, so they are giving her an appointment for what will be almost three weeks from when she first went to A&E to have general anesetic. I am so angry even the person that saw her when she went back in said they can't believe they have left her so long.

I am waiting to see how she gets on at he next appointment I was so angry my daughter does not know I have contacted you. she did not deserve to be treated like this, I hope no one approaches her at her next appointment regarding this as she would feel bad if they did I will let you know how she is after her anesetic, hopefully they will succeed in removing this and she does not have anymore problems thank you for getting in touch with me.
