"Seems like one department doesn't know what the other is doing"

I want to know what is happening at the NGH. my dad was admitted 3 weeks ago, following a minor stroke. Because he already has had 2 heart attacks, they wont let him come home until he has had a heart scan (fair enough). they want to check there isnt a blood clot near his heart (pretty serious condition!) so why has he had to wait over 2 weeks for this scan. If he is an inpatient, why has he been sent a letter to his home address asking him to attend as an outpatient in August. I understand the stroke unit is moving to the Hallamshire Hospital any day now. He is already a patient of the heart consultant there, so why not move him , get him scanned then let him home. This stress isnt doing him or the family any good. Seems like one department doesn't know what the other is doing!
