"My son dislocated his knee"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Combined Child Health

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had an accident and dislocated his knee and tore his scrotum! We were taken to Aberdeen children's hospital by ambulance he had numerous X-rays and gas and air for the pain he was admitted so he could have stitches under general anesthetic the next morning. All the nurses and doctors were so nice and helpful. The physio aftercare was brilliant. Especially Emily the student. He's just been discharged after 3 months.

That sounds like a very painful experience your son had and a very worrying time. I hope he is well on the mend now. The staff at RACH will be delighted to hear that you and your son had such a positive experience as this is why they do the job - to deliver the best quality of care. It is heartening to hear that our students too are also providing first class care. Thank you very much for taking the time to post this story, I will of course pass on your feedback to all the staff involved.
