"Cannot thank them enough for accommodating me"

Following a GP referral to the gynecology department I phoned the consultant’s secretary to find out when I would be seen. I was told it would not be soon, it did not look as if an appointment letter was even pending.

I was in a desperate state with a prolapse affecting my continence and causing heavy bleeding. I think the secretary must have realized I was in a poor state and explained that although the consultant I had been assigned did not have a clinic on that day she would see if I could be seen by another consultant and would call be back in half an hour.

True to her word she called and asking if I could go to the gynecology unit that afternoon where Dr Z would see me.

I cannot thank them enough for accommodating me in this way, Dr Z was lovely, fitted me in to her schedule and gave me relief. I gave her a hug to show her how grateful I was for their care and kindness.
