I have had a terrible experience with the nhs in April 2016 I broke my knee and got to a+e and I was left for over 2 hours that night. After I got crutches I went home that night and went to all appointments I was requested to go to after. In July I saw the Dr who said they would be giving me an operation and said they will be putting my name down. So I waited for 2 months to see if I would get confirmation of my operation and I found out that they never put my name down and said I never attended the appointment which I did. I was told I had to wait another 3 months so I went into the hospital on the 12th January for my operation. When I first went in the staff were ok and helpful and soon as I had my operation the staff went really weird because I was still under anaesthetic and crying in pain over the operation which required me to have 2 shots of morphine I apparently acted up knocking over the oxygen and things like that but I don't remember a thing. Then during the night the staff was really good to me but they found out that I wasn't prescribed any pain relief even though I just had my operation but they were so good to me. The worst part of my stay was in the morning where I ate but no pain relief was given to me for over 6 hours the only nurse who was ok with me was really nice, the rest all had attitudes and treated me like I was dirt on the floor they seemed like they wanted me out as quick as possible. Just as I was about to leave one of the nurses said your not trying to be a nuisance are you in a very sarcastic tone even though I was on crutches and I had to grab a bag but fortunately the other nurse helped me move my stuff out with me in a wheelchair which was so nice of them. But none of the other staff were good to me and I am pleased to get this over with now.
