I've recently spent 12 days in University Hospital of North Staffordshire for resection of GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumour).
My care was second to none. I spent 4 nights in SSCU and the remainder on Ward 109 under the care of Mr Beardsmore.
When I started to vomit on the Friday a week after my operation he immediately arranged for me to have a CT scan that day and before 5pm the same day was personally at my bedside telling me everything was ok.
From the top to the bottom I have no complaints whatsoever except for the food which could perhaps be a little more appetising for patients after Upper GI Surgery.
"Care at North Staff second to none"
