My GP has referred me for a bone scan, so I received a letter from Principia asking me to give them a call from me to choose where I would like to go for my treatment.
They suggested the Queen's Hospital in Nottingham. I mentioned that the hospital in Newark is easier for me to get to. If they had the bone scan machine there, I would prefer to be seen at this hospital. They told me that I would be able to be seen and have a bone scan there.
When I went for my appointment the lady at reception said that I did not have an appointment and they had no facilities to carry out the bone scan anyway. I was a little irritated because it had been a waste of time for me but also a waste of money to the NHS.
I am now waiting to be seen again at Queen's Medical Hospital in a few weeks time. the appointment system needs to be improved.
