"Impacted Molar"

I was diagnosed as having an impacted molar with a cyst attached, surgery was necessary and I opted for local anesthetic as opposed to general.

Everything went very well even though it was a very difficult extraction. The tooth was tilted sideways and the root system had curved into the jawbone, making it necessary to do the extraction in pieces.

All in all the only after effect that is of any concern (minimal) is the numbness in my lip but that is improved slightly and may, hopefully, return fully to normal. The care and attention throughout of the consultant and staff was exceptional and I couldn't be more grateful.
