About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

(as the patient),

Anything else? A friend of mine was admitted. A member of staff who works there told her daughter. The daughter then posted on facebook that my friend was a nutter who should slash her wrists. My friend then took an overdose. I think the member of staff should be penalised for transgressing the confidentiality policy.

All of our staff undertake statutory Information Governance training in accordance to NHS guidelines, and are aware of the importance of confidentiality in a clinical environment. We are sorry that this was not the case in your experience, and would like to work together to resolve this issue.
