In Autumn 2016, my son (A) began full time school. A few weeks later, I received his Learning Journey book from a Children's Worker at Trent Villages Children's Centre.
Reading through it brought back so many memories of the amazing times we had at Trent Villages since A was born.
It was lovely to look back at all the photographs, and to read the observation notes that his key worker and other members of staff had made over the years. The little details really capture A’s personality and show how well all the staff got to know him during the crèche and stay & play sessions he attended. His key worker always worked hard to develop activities based on his interests and he really enjoyed spending time with her, whether in baby group, weaning café, stay & play, crèche or on day trips.
Trent Villages Children’s Centre has been a really important part of A’s life, and mine! We’ve were always made to feel welcomed by A's key worker (and all staff members), and the advice, support and listening ear his key worker in particular offered were invaluable. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her some weeks.
