"All the staff were amazing & took great care of me"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Spinal injuries unit

(as the patient),

For 3 or more years I was suffering lower back & leg pains, this severely restricted my ability to walk or do any kind of physical activity.

Despite being told by consultant Dr Grivas, all the risks and reasons why I should not go through with the procedure on my spine, I decided to have a laminectomy to L3/4 L4/5 of my spine.

Following the operation I was cared for in ward 63, all the staff were amazing & took great care of me for the next 6 days. My partner bought me a pup & a Fitbit, , now 10 months after the op I walk 5miles a day with ease,

Many thanks to Mr Grivas & his team & all staff on ward 63,

Dear Twinrivers

Thank you for taking the time to feedback so positively on your experience. I'm pleased that everything turned out well for you and that you've made such a great recovery. I'll ensure staff in ward 63 are aware of your feedback- they'll be delighted they don't often hear from patients so far into recovery

Wishing you well in the future and many happy miles walking

Ann
