Following an operation on my ankle, I kept getting infections whenever I came off antibiotics. I was referred to Dr. Lim consultant plastic surgeon and after identifying an infection on the bone, he operated on me a year later to clean out the infection from my ankle and seal up the incisions that had remained an issue.
This operation has been successful and I believe that a major part of this has been down to the expertise and professionalism of Dr. Lim. His ability to assess my problem correctly and prescribe the correct course of treatment has contributed to me being able to resume a normal life, something that has been beyond me for the last 17 months due to my injury.
I am very grateful for the plastic surgery department at York hospital and in particular the capabilities of Dr. Lim for their assistance and support in my recovery. Without such a specialist unit on site then I would have had to travel further afield and this would undoubtedly have complicated my treatment plan.
