"Passionate and friendly care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Cardiology (Heart Conditions) Wards 6c & 6d

(as a relative),

My father spent time on 6C, he is now home and recovering well. He would like me to pass on his thanks for making his experience in hospital a positive one.

He would like to thank the young doctors that reassured him despite not going home, all of the cheery nurses and auxiliaries who cared for him (and gave him a good laugh) and the catering staff who fed him and brought him tea with the right amount of milk!

A special mention to the domestic who dressed up as Santa and gave him a present from the ward, he assures me that it really helped brighten up the day. As visitors, we also felt very welcome!

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.
