"Excluded from a meeting about my son"

About: Avenue House

(as a carer),

A CPN excluded me from a meeting about my son. I am his carer. At the time I did not know that they were not legally within her rights to do so but I felt bullied and they were supported by some minions so they got away with it. My son's life had been endangered when he lived away from home and I want him to live so it was concerning that they tried to persuade my son that it was not in his interests to live with me. I think the staff at Avenue House are all very poor.

Dear Zosia I am very sorry to hear of your experience at Avenue House. We always try to involve and support carers as much as we can as we understand how important your role is. At this stage I don't know why you were excluded from the meeting but I will follow this up with the Team Manager and the team so that they are aware of the effect this had on you and to ensure that any future meetings are managed more sensitively.
