"Didn't understand my needs"

About: Broadgreen Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I went for a scan at Broadgreen Hospital last month - I can't remember what it was called. I communicate by British Sign Language and there was an interpreter present. I was given a little bit of information and then taken into the room where I was told to take my glasses off. I cannot see anything clearly without them. More information was given but I could not see what the interpreter was signing. I wanted the interpreter to stay in the room with me but they weren't allowed to. I became panicked and the scan could not be done. I was to get tablets for anxiety from my GP and then come back for the scan. I don't think I would have panicked so much if I had enough information and they told me everything and let me ask questions before I took my glasses off.
