"My father had had a scan and attended ..."

About: Fairfield General Hospital

(as a relative),

What could be improved

My father had had a scan and attended for the results.

He was told that as he was an intelligent man the doctor would tell him what was wrong wjth him.

He did - You have 6 weeks to live!

You can imagine how he, my mother and I (his daughter) felt.

The macMillan nurse who gave us information had a smile on their face all the time.

The nurse took my home and work and mobile telephone numbers so that they could ring me the next day and as yet 9-06-2010 she has not got back to me!

Not a happy experience at all

Even the nurse who helped us back to the car could not believe how we had been treated
