"Not enough sedation in endoscopy procedure"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I asked to have the sedation. I was well aware that I would still be awake in procedure, but should feel more relaxed and bit drowsy. Didn't really feel that till procedure was nearly done and when I was in recovery.

Don't know if I needed higher dose or should of been given longer time for the sedation to work. But I remember the whole procedure and the panic when the mouth piece and probe started to be introduced.
