What I liked

What a great hospital; everyone we met was polite and friendly from the surgeon to a young lady cleaning the carpets outside of the ward. 5 stars

What could be improved

This is the strange fact as you walk out of the hospital entrance you have to walk through a cloud of smoke where patients!! and visitors alike are smoking in full view of the large sign that says you cannot smoke on hospital grounds. Surely this is wrong?

Thank you for your positive comments regarding the care you received at Darent Valley Hospital. I note your comments re smokers at the front entrance. The Trust is erecting a smoking shelter this year to address this issue.
