"Been the worst few months..."

About: Kingston Hospital / Ophthalmology

Where do I start? ...I was referred to the department back in June 2016 as an urgent referral. After forgetting about my referral and god knows what other reasons they had. I finally got an appointment in November 2016. I was advised that being an urgent referral it would take 2-6 weeks. I waited 5 months! So had my appointment and it was advised for me to have an MRI scan of the brain. Had my MRI. 1.5 weeks later I was told by MRI unit that ophthalmology had my results. I left it a couple of days and then called them for the results. Since then I have been given every excuse in the book: wait for follow up appt in 3months for eye condition and get them then, we got your consultant mixed up, consultant not in etc. It has now been 3 weeks and I have now had to file an official complaint and get my GP involved to chase the results for me. It all began with urgent referral in June and 6 months later I'm none the wiser and my condition has deteriorated! [This is the short version of the story as I couldn't include everything] but I honestly cannot wait to find out results and move on from this hospital and receive treatment elsewhere for eye condition.
